This is a fine telescope for its size and sharp images.
Very good sharp images. Good focuser, very little image shift and little back lash when adjusting focus. Nice and small but with the 1500 mm focal length plus a2X barlow can get great pictures of the moon and planets.
Great telescope
Overall I am pleased with the performance of the scope. I did a star test when I received the unit and it looked perfectly collimated. The focus knob is smooth with no play. It does a great job of splitting double stars. The Moon and Saturn were a bit more crisp and defined compared to the view in my Celestron Nexstar 6SE SCT.There are also tapped holes in the mount for use with a tripod. Maks are known for their durability and light weight and this unit will be good to take on trips where larger scopes would be prohibitive. Keep in mind the optics are not very fast so you will be limited on how many deep space objects you can see.

All you could expect in a Mak telescope.The quality is evident,the paint finish on the tube is awesome.If you buy just the scope without a mount,be particular in paying a bit more to get a heavy duty stand that doesn't wobble,as stability is very important to an enjoyable viewing experience...don't buy one made of plastic,more like an aluminum one.You may also want to invest in a Barlow lens to help in your selection of different magnifications,and maybe a 32mm eyepiece for lower power viewing.Images are sharp as a tack even with a 8mm eyepiece(162.5x).As good as it gets, you won't be disappointed.Better than any telescope I ever owned....
