Cheap but great spotting scope

Review from my 12yo son: This is my first ever spotting scope. It's lightweight and is easy to use, with or without the tripod. I do have to say, the tripods that come with these scopes are small, and I can't use them as much. It worked well with identifying a few of my new "life birds", such as the Bullock's Oriole. The phone adapter is good, and you can adjust it to fit your phone in, it just took me a bit. Though, like all scopes, binocs, those things, when you're at 75 yards, it can be hard to focus. Probably the best thing about this is that you don't have to spend a lot. It's a great scope that is more affordable for people who are new to birding, hunting, etc. Would recommend.

Well built. Not a $500 scope but magnifies the same. Perfect close zoom at 100 yards. Shooting 17 HMR and the holes the size of a BBQ. So you need full zoom. So glad I purchased this!

Tested it this morning and I'm so satisfied. Now I just ordered a heavy duty with fluid movement tripod hope I can lock on the moon smoother and less shaky.

Works well as intended for a relatively budget scope. At the range, it’s great at 50 yards, where I can easily identify .22lr holes in white paper (in daytime conditions). 100 yards is probably pretty close to its limit. Keep in mind that the further you zoom in the less light comes through, so it gets dimmer. But at 100 yards I can still identify .22 lr holes. Obviously it works flawlessly on a pistol range. All in all it’s a scope that I’m glad I bought. It’s a help at the range. Setup is pretty straightforward, and once you lock in the pan and tilt, it stays where you set it.

I have been wanting a spotting scope for zeroing rifle to 100y. I rarely do this and did not want to spend a lot of money on something I would barely use. For this price, you cannot beat it. I was at the range this past Saturday and could clearly see 5.56 holes in the paper at 100y. Could probably see farther if needed. The scope is very light, in fact when I picked up the box I thought it was empty. I did not use the phone clip. I did not use the provided tripod because I have my own that I can use while standing up.

Can see .22 at 200 m, amazing quality for price

This scope amazed me. Many commenters were skepyical of it abilities due to its low cost but I have found it outperformed any scope I have ever used including ones that cost hundreds more. You can see individual shots at 200 m (over 200 yds) including .22 holes if the sun is on the target. This is better then my friends multi hundred dollar scope which can not see .22 at 200 m. I would recommend this scope to anyone due to its great value. My only critic is that the rear lens cover falls off but the manufacter could easily solve this by adding a pair of elastic straps connecting the front and rear lens covers. Also, if you have a camera tripod with a 1/4 in screw attachment you can use the scope while sitting or standing.

Went to a birdwatching place and used one of these. I had already purchased binoculars but this was very easy for the “motionless” variety. Having this set on the target…bird.. was really easy when trying to sight in the species. At first I was concerned about the sharpness and the zoom. When I brought it to the field it was plenty crisp to see the finer details of the "plumage". We saw birds at 100yds, 200yds, 300 and 450yrds.
